Job Type: Contract – Full-Time- 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Hours per week: 37.5
Hourly rate: Determined based on education and experience

About Us:
The Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre (CASASC) is a non-profit organization serving the Central Alberta region under the direction of a community-based Board of Directors. 

We specialize in healing sexual trauma and provide a range of judgement-free, support services for individuals and their families who are affected by sexual violence. Our programs and services include counselling, play therapy, police and court support, crisis support and education. 

Job Summary:
The Integrated Case Manager provides trauma-informed information, support, advocacy, and referrals to clients referred into CASASC for counselling services and Integrated Case Management Program.  

These interventions will be delivered in a strength-based, person-centred, relational, and coordinated manner, and sessions may be held in-person, virtually, or over the phone.  

This role calls for a compassionate, dynamic, organized and flexible individual who can thrive working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

  • Degree in social work or human services, or equivalent experience; registration with a regulating body is an asset 
  • Satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Sector checks 
  • Experience in conducting assessments (needs assessments, risk assessments) 
  • Strong understanding of sexual violence trauma and its impact; experience working in sexual violence service delivery would be an asset 
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with clients and other service providers 
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports 
  • Understanding of systemic barriers and discrimination 
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills 
  • Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries 
  • Talented in prioritizing and managing multiple work tasks and deadlines 
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assessment and Case Planning
· Conduct intake screening of clients reaching out to CASASC via walk-ins, referrals by partner agencies, crisis help line, and any other clients reaching out through any medium of communication.
· Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to identify risks, strengths, and goals of each client.
· Develop individualized case plans in collaboration with the client based on their needs and goals. 


Case Management and Systems Navigation

· Assist with concerns identified through the assessment process (i.e. mobility, language barriers, child-care concerns) to ensure access to needed referrals and resources.
· Provide direct assistance to clients in the form of practical supports- which may include attending offsite appointments with the client.
· Establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with external services/supports.
· Identify and collaborate with external services/supports to address any barriers (real or perceived) to accessing services.
· Provide advocacy on behalf of clients in interactions with external systems/supports as needed, representing clients’ interests to ensure access to needed services and resources.
· Conduct ongoing evaluation of case plan progress and adapt to changing needs and goals as necessary. 


Psychoeducation

· Deliver psychoeducation sessions to enhance clients’ understanding of sexual violence, the impact of trauma, and coping strategies.
· Address common myths, self-blame, and provide information on managing trauma symptoms. 


Emotional Regulation and Coping Skills

· Support clients in developing emotional regulation and coping skills, including. problem-solving, grounding techniques, containment strategies, cognitive restructuring, and stress management.


Counselling Readiness

· Engage in discussions about counselling readiness for clients interested in clinical counselling, providing information about the counselling process.
· Assign clients to a primary therapist if client is ready for counselling or place on Integrated Case Management Program case load.
· Seek consultation from clinical managers as needed for triaging waitlisted clients and clinician assignment.
· Support clients transition out of the Integrated Case Management program to other programs/services, both internal and external. 


Other

· Maintain comprehensive client records and files.
· Collect, analyze, and report program specific data for evaluation purposes.
· Engage in formal supervision with clinical management.
· Work to achieve established professional goals.
· Assignment of other duties as delegated.
