Become a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities are available with the help line and special events.
CASASC is appreciative of each and every volunteer who gives their time and talents in support of the work we do.
Phone Help Line Volunteer
In this volunteer position, you will get help line phone calls forwarded to your own phone during your shift.
You would be providing support for those affected by sexual violence. These may include emergency or historical situations. We provide referrals and a listening ear.
Applicants must be very compassionate, reliable and supportive. You will need to be 18 years of age with a clean criminal record check.
Training is provided.
Shifts run from:
- Midnight to 8 a.m.
- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (on weekends or on holidays)
- 4 p.m. to midnight
Online Chat/Text Help Line Volunteer
We use a web-based system that allows our volunteers to answer any incoming texts or webchats from the comfort of your own computer.
You would be providing support for those affected by sexual violence. These may include emergency or historical situations. We provide referrals and a listening ear.
Applicants must be very compassionate, reliable and supportive. You will need to be 18 years of age with a clean criminal record check, and have access to your own computer or laptop with an internet connection.
Training is provided.
Shifts run from:
- Midnight to 8 a.m.
- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (on weekends or on holidays)
- 4 p.m. to midnight
