To all who come here… Believe.
Today is my birthday…this appointment is my gift to myself.
The more I face my fears the more free I become. I know one day I will be through this.
Gradually you feel whole again. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other.
I have found an inner strength I never know I had. I can survive this – you can too.
It is never your fault. Don’t let someone else define your life.
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
First Responders Workshop
This is a very intense 12 hour workshop for people interested in helping victims of sexual assault. The successful candidate will attend the Red Deer Regional Hospital and advocate on behalf of the victim of a sexual assault who is reporting and seeking assistance at that location.
People who choose this opportunity to assist victims of sexual assault are required to be on-call for several days and/or nights during each month. When called, they are required to attend the hospital (night or day) to render assistance to the victim.
These advocates are not trained to counsel the victim, but instead to advocate on their behalf and to deliver information to all parties associated with the crime as to opportunities for assistance and counselling at the CASASC.
