To all who come here… Believe.
Today is my birthday…this appointment is my gift to myself.
The more I face my fears the more free I become. I know one day I will be through this.
Gradually you feel whole again. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other.
I have found an inner strength I never know I had. I can survive this – you can too.
It is never your fault. Don’t let someone else define your life.
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
Crisis and short-term counseling services are available to victims of sexual assault and their families. Individual sessions are designed to support personal coping skills and accelerate recovery in people who are experiencing the after-effects of a trauma. Regardless of the length of time since the assault, everyone can benefit from appropriate supportive intervention.
In addition to individual sessions, psycho-educational groups are also offered. Some individuals feel they may benefit from participation in a group setting. Our groups offer educational sessions combined with the value of a shared experience.
CASASC offers one on one counselling to survivors of sexual assault and their families, regardless of the length of time since the assault / abuse took place. CASASC believes that everyone – women and men, girls and boys – can benefit from supportive intervention.
CASASC counselors will suggest group sessions when she believes this is something that would be of real benefit to the client.
At CASASC Play therapy is generally used with children between the ages of 4 and 12. It provides a way for them to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. Children’s experiences and knowledge are often communicated through play.
